Disable 802.1x authentication for wired connections (Windows)

If you are using the old MiNET authentication method (802.1x), the wired connection will not work. You will therefore need to disable it.

Configuration with Windows 11

• Open Windows Settings.
• Go to the “Network & Internet” tab.
• Click “Advanced network settings,” then “Ethernet,” then “Edit” next to “Additional adapter options.”
• In the window that appears, click “Authentication” and disable “IEEE 802.1x.”
• Click OK.
• You should now be able to connect via a wired connection by plugging it back in.
